Swimming pool algaecide – a kind of swimming pool water treatment agent, chemical name: copper sulfate, cholesteric, blue asymmetric triclinic crystal or powder. It is mainly used as an algicide to kill algae poisoning and effectively inhibit the growth of algae.
Specifications: 5kg / bag, 20kg / box
Active ingredient: copper sulfate
The principle of algae killing: copper sulfate pentahydrate, commonly known as cholesteric or copper bismuth, has a chemical formula of CuSO4·5H2O and is a blue crystal. In the process of algae killing, copper ions act as heavy metal ions, which can more than magnesium ions, sodium ions, etc., combined with chloroplast synthesis of algae plants, resulting in chloroplast body metal poisoning, loss of photosynthesis and inhibition of algae growth!
Copper ions in the copper sulfate swimming pool algaecide are present in the pool water. If an oxidized swimming pool disinfectant, such as a chlorine-containing disinfectant, is added, the copper ions are oxidized to copper oxide, and the water will be black. Therefore, it should be noted that when there is algae in the water, the amount of copper sulfate added should be controlled. If too much, the copper ions remaining in the water will be oxidized by the swimming pool disinfectant to form copper oxide, causing the water to become black and turbid, so if it causes In the above case, it is recommended to add a precipitant for decolorization.
Dosage:
The amount of algaecide in the swimming pool is 2-3 kg per 1000 cubic meters, which is generally found when the moss or water body is green. Add copper sulfate algicide for 2-4 hours before placing other pool water treatment agents.
Precautions:
1. Do not mix copper sulphate with strong chlorin, which will cause an explosion;
2, do not use too much copper sulfate, which is a heavy metal, excessive is harmful to the human body.
