At present, the limited use of cuprous oxide has been gradually put on the agenda.In this study, the acrylic acid prepolymer was synthesized by using dibenzoyl peroxide to initiate the synthesis of carboxyl group-containing acrylic acid prepolymer, and then the zinc acrylate resin was synthesized by acid-base neutralization reaction with the self-made basic zinc salicylate intermediate. The salicylic acid used in the synthesis of zinc intermediate is a raw material of the pharmaceutical industry, and has a certain antiseptic and bactericidal effect. After the introduction of the zinc acrylate resin, it can be released during the hydrolysis process of the resin, thereby preventing the antifouling effect. The synthetic zinc acrylate resin itself has certain bactericidal and antifouling properties. The low-oxidized cuprous self-polishing antifouling paint was prepared by using the zinc acrylate resin as a matrix, and the properties thereof were tested.
