Product Information:
Copper oxide pottery use (CuO) is a blackish-grey powder used as a colorant in the preparation of slips and glazes. It acts as a flux and produces fluid glazes. Copper oxide pottery can also be prepared as a wash and used for brushwork application to bisqueware. In oxidation, it typically produces greens, while its reduced form is red. Because it contains more copper than copper carbonate, copper oxide is more intense.
Application of copper oxide pottery:
Conditional and restricted use as a fungicide, insecticide, and miticide in wood protection treatment by pressure of forest products: brown rot, white rot, wood rot/decay fungi, dry rot, and termites. /CCA Type A Wood Preservative Chromated Copper Arsenate (50% and 60%), Wolmanac conc (50%, 70% and 72%)
